It is time that I sent out an update as to how my OzLIFE project is going.
First off, I would like to thank all of those people who voted in my competition for a logo. It was extremely helpful and gave me clarity on the direction I should take for the branding.
Here is the final version which ended up as a mix and enhancement of a few of the options I gave.
I would also like to thank all of those people who have contributed to my crowdfunding appeal. Starting a new business takes a huge investment of time and energy and to get help with the money that fuels it all allows me to get started so much more quickly and to develop a far better quality product than would otherwise be possible.
The crowd funding appeal continues as we have many countries to tackle and we are still at stage 1, the Australian launch, with North America as our next step.
If LIFE were just a product, it would have been launched already as the formulation is done, ingredients are on hand and once the logo was set them the label was not far off being good to go. Sure, there’s containers, cartons, packing, website etc etc…
However, it is the distribution that takes time to set up.
But before I talk about how this works, let me tell you what I found out a while back.
We humans love stories. Our brains are hard-wired to absorb them, remember them and to share them with others.
Tom “Big Al” Schreiter is a professional Network Marketer and he tells a story which demonstrates my point:
He recounts how you might have discovered a movie, say Titanic. You go to the theatre, buy a ticket and before you watch the show you buy up some snacks from the food concessions in the movie house. Finally, you watch the show where Celine Dion sings really high and everybody drowns in the end. You go home where you find your useless brother-in-law waiting to scam a free meal. Luckily you’ve eaten so you tell him about the late show at the movies and how much you enjoyed seeing Titanic where Celine Dion sings really high and everybody drowns in the end. So he goes and buys a ticket, gets some snack foods and watches the show.
The next day he’s at work (holding up the water cooler) and what does he talk about? Absolutely. He recommends that his work mates go see Titanic where Celine Dion sings really high and everybody drowns in the end. They do the same, paying for the tickets, snacks and so on. At the end of the month the movie theatre owner adds up his takings and is impressed at how much he’s made from all the people who saw the movie and this is even before adding on the profits from all the food concessions he also owns. Now. Does he pay you for the referrals you made to increase his takings? Obviously not. And that’s the difference between referring for free and earning a margin on the increased sales for which you are both, directly and indirectly responsible.
So from this, it is obvious that there are two types of people in the world: Those who tell stories to others and those who earn a recurring income for telling stories. This is the basis of my network marketing system of distribution for LIFE.
We know that we have all done Network Marketing since we were 5 or 6 years old. We’d recommend toys, foods, movies, books, places to go, things to do and so many other things we enjoy. I hope that you tell others about LIFE and the opportunity it offers for better health. And if you also want more money and more free time then I can help there too.
